The masks

I have made seven masks. The materials i have used for this masks are all recyclable. This masks will represents the seven dwarfs in my Snow white fairy tale photo shoot.

MY SECOND photo shoot for Fashionable FAIRY TALE !!!

I wanted to find something that symbolize more

our century and after my research I found that recycling is something necessary that everybody must consider to do because of the global warming threats our planet.

So I symbolized my snow white with the Mother Nature and the people that love the earth and making recycle trying to save the environment from the global warming.

And the witch symbolized all people that don’t care about global warming and wants to give snow white the poisoned apple so she can stop getting in her way, like green peace and other

organizations.

The seven dwarfs symbolize the seven materials that can be recycle so global warming can be prevented so I made seven masks each from different recyclable material to show the different character of each dwarf.

So when snow white bites the apple it symbolizes the consequence that this behavior of humans has bought on earth and has caused global warming.

My story didn’t show any end because is not sure if we are able to save the snow white from the global warming. As final of this project I have the photographs, the dress of snow white,the masks and one video I made in adobe after effects showing the story.

My Fairy Tale Photo shoot!!!

The brief was to transform a classical fairy tale, known to everyone and redesign it to give to it more contemporary approach through fashion and design of our century.

Its a personal project that i have chosen because i wished to learn more about photography and fashion area.

The fairy tale that i chose is Snow White and i have decided to take scenes from the original story and set up a photo shoot according to the scenes i have selected.

In the first photo shoot i was experimenting with the roles and i was trying to make it more sexually complicated changing the dwarfs to women and snow white to a man trying to remind the sexual behaviors of our days.

This photo shot i took did not satisfy me because i thought i did not symbolized the fairy tale enough and therefore i have decided to a different idea for making the second photo shoot.

I have been inspired by all of theses photos and want in my turn to recreated some scenes of snow whites and give a touch of my style and ideas and generally create something new and fresh.

We can see in the photos that this is a modern approach of the fairy-tale Snow White but instead of seven dwarfs we have seven children's and one very beautiful woman. Which i can say that she looks innocence of pure.

The clothes that they are wearing are all the same and they are modern . I like the facts that Snow-white is wearing

jeans and not a dress, and that generally shows the trends of our time.

On this subject i will also like to add that the children are playing the seven drafts are wearing snickers and not boots.

From,twisted takes on "Little Red Riding Hood" to "Sleepy Hollow" and the most inspired-by,"Alice in Wonderland"....fairy tales are rearing it's head on alot of designers.

Fashionable Fairy tale

Who doesn't love fairy-tales? I wish I could dress like this everyday. I guess just staring at these gorgeous pictures will have to suffice.

I think fairytales are always a part of fashion. They bring whimsy or darkness and season after season can just be seen as a reinterpretation, ie you can have a collection that is directly influenced by a specific fairytale but then a collection might be a take on a 'modern fairytale' and to me fairtytales also tie in with medievalism and all that sort of thing.
